Yes, thanks for pointing that out.

I deleted the post and the user.

I also changed a setting so that new user's posts will require authorisation - like on MSEXTRA. This appears to be working ok aside from the minor irritation of having to moderate those posts.

in phpbb code, if you resize the captcha graphic to a non-standard size, it deters the majority of the bots.
