In my E36, JP3 was jumpered. I removed it and bang. Fully working tacho.
Double check wirings with BMW ETM. it's easy to make mistakes with BMW wirings :D

Also check the settings for tacho output in tunerstudio, then check your db37 with wirings from http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms3/hardware ... iring-ms3x .

try pulling back the cover on the C101 connector, check to see if there is a black wire running to pin #9.

Hate to bump such an old thread, but is there any chance that you better documented what you had to do for the keyswitch to get power to MS3?
