Brent,
See the PM I sent you... if you think your sensor is like the 0280217531 or 0280218008 sensors described in the Bosch HFM5 specs document, I have calibration curves I can send you.

Re: MAF setup
Sorry for reviving this old thread but I'm looking to buy a MAF for my project. Do you still have calibration curves for the mentioned sensors 0280217531, 0280218008 elaw?
I'm estimating somewhere around 260-270hp from my new engine and from looking in the ms3 manual there seems to be a linear relationship in the sizing examples (650g/s = 800hp, 1300g/s = 1600hp). With this in mind the 0280218008 should probably be enough since it's capable of ~290hp using the previous relationship. I haven't been following the development of the maf support that closely but it seems you're one of the usual suspects in the related threads and therefor I'm wondering if you have any advice to give on the matter?

Re: MAF setup
MAF support has changed massively over the last year or so.
Follow the instructions here: http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 4&p=415447 to tune your MAF curve. If you can get the engine started and idling by roughing in values in the bottom part of the curve you can quickly and accurately build the curve that fits your installation. Induction geometry can influence the results tremendously.

Re: MAF setup
Thanks for the information. Just ordered a maf sensor, can't wait to try it...

Re: MAF setup
the biggest thing to to get an accurate 64 point flow curve from the meter manufacture, i would expect it to be within 20 percent. You will be surprised how drivable 20 percent is with 25 ego correction. Subwoofer's maf tuning curve works pretty well, I think you should be able to get within 5 percent after following his procedure. Once you think it is close you can use VEAL after enabling VE1 as a trim table. This would show how close you are. on your EGO correction set it to like 5 events to get more "points" to look at.
