Was there a solution to this? Im having the same issue. On my bench, spinning the CAS results in spark, if a tad intermittent. On the car, I got a few pops, and it wanted to start, but no running engine. Sometimes the sparks would cease altogether, and it seemed that Tunerstudio would lose RPM signal entirely. Yet when I took it all off the car and went back to the bench, everything was fine again.
Mine is the same 4AGE NipponDenso 24 tooth, except with one tooth removed, and not using the other wheel.

Did you read the links that I posted on the first page? Sounds like you need to visit the pots and get a better signal during starting rpms.
