Megalogviewer and status indicators

Post by arran »

Hi,

I promise I've had a search but I can't locate information on how I can get Megalogviewer to display some fields.

How do I display when IdleVE is active?
How can I display when my Air Conditioner is active? It uses the LaunchIn input.
How can I display when closed loop idle is active?
How can I see when DashPot is added?
How can I see when Fan is active?
How can I see when Idle Advance is active?

I am having a lot of trouble getting my idle to behave consistently with the AC on, it settles nicely 10 times then for no reason I can see on the 11th test it will stall, or almost stall, so I want to have more visibility of the variables involved.

Does it involve bits within PortA, B, C etc, or the status registers?

Thanks for any advice,
Arran

A shortcut list, or the ability to add indicators would be cool.

I was just daydreaming the other day how neat it would be to be able to run the ddata log using the TS dashboard.

Port K seems to correlate in my data logs with the AC.
Can't yet see the other data

Searching google for hits on port rather than status:

Different processors are used between MS1, MS2, MS3 so the ports are all different.

The CPU ports for MS3 are listed in the manual:

That link is a great help. I had not joined the dots as to the connection between entries in that table and the portX registers.

To help others I'll elaborate a bit.

In the table linked by James towards the bottom is A0, A1, A2, ... A7.
If you have a look in Mega log viewer there is a data stream selectable called PortA, the 8 bits correlate to A0, A1 etc in the table. For example, remembering the engine is a rotary, with a sequential setup under a wideish open throttle I would expect to see primary and secondary injectors active, A=front primary, B=rear primary, C=front secondary, D=rear secondary. I can see PortA = 5, being 00000101, so front Primary and front secondary are active. Next sample the value of PortA=10, being 0001010, so rear primary and secondary are active.

PortB in my data is flatlined which should be spark so I'm unsure what is going on there.

PortK bit 2 is the Launch-in which is my AC compressor

I can't see how to track some other parameters, as mentioned Fan, Idle VE, Idle advance,.....

Thanks

I'm also interested in the port status. Is there any overview, where I can see which port is active for which function/output? I'm using MS3 1.4.6a

Especially I would like to see:
-ALS feature active
-flatshift active
- which cylinder is cut spark and/or fuel

thanks for your help

The recent MS2 and MS3 TunerStudio Reference manuals spell out all of the status bitfields in the Datalog fields section.
