You are the first person to try this wheel pattern on a six cylinder. The code needs adjusting to correct the phasing as nobody has previously been able to provide it.

I have run my car using NGC code using MS3 but removed MS3 due to the cooling fan output not working with MS3. I never got back to reinstalling MS3 so I haven't tried the latest codes, but it worked at the time I posted my link below.

I reported the phasing issue nearly 2 years ago, It runs good if you change the phasing by rewiring. http://msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=125&t=45055 The revised phasing is in that link.

I didn't see that post, however, it only details the phasing for wasted spark - not the full phasing for coil-on-plug or sequential fuel.

I've implemented the revised phasing and sent a test code to dochka by email. That ought to get the phasing right using the crank signal alone.

Using the cam signal and spark trim it can be confirmed if the 720 degree phasing is correct. Alter the trim on cyl#1 and see if the timing changes with a timing light. Check the "other half" (cyl#4) and make sure it doesn't change.

Yes, this should work with wasted spark so long as sequential fuel is enabled so that the cam signal is used also.

Found it, will try it and report asap;
By the way, you wrote "ms3 test code for v6 jeep", this is not a V6 but an Inline-6 engine :p , or maybe you mean the 1-2-3-4-5-6 firing order of the V6 by this ?

Just ignore the "V" then.

I never email out the loader, it is available on the Downloads page. But nomally, just save the s19 I sent over the top of the one you already have in a firmware release.

I cut and pasted the files you sent me into the ms3-release-1.3.0 file and then loaded the s19 file into the ms3;
Cranked the engine and now the timing of the cyl 1 is 250 deg btdc, cyl2 is 130 and cyl 3 is 10deg btdc, means that the cyl3-4 and cyl1-6 must be switched over...

What order do you have the plug leads in?

Once the code matches the engine, spark A needs to go to cyl#1. Is this the case now?

Spark B needs to go to the next cylinder pair in sequence
Spark C needs to go to the final cylinder pair in sequence.

Spark A goes to cyl#1 but it's at 250 deg btdc not 10
Meaning that spark A and C fire their respective plugs, but the phasing of them is inversed, i.e the timing of cyl 1 and 3 needs to be reversed
SparkB firing cyl#2 takes place in the right engine cycle i.e 120deg btdc

Hi James,
Tried this now,
Cyl 1 is correct
Cyl 2 is 250d btdc
Cyl 3 is 130d btdc

Meaning that you must switch firing order of cyl n2 and n3 so that cyl n2 is at 130dbtc at cranking and cyl n3 is at 250d btdc

The outputs run in the sequence A,B,C. That cannot be changed. Your wiring must be incorrect.

I double checked many times...
And how come in the test mode when i fire coil A cyl1&6 fire, coil B fires cyl2&5 and coil C fires cyl3&4 ?
Then when i crank the engine the incorrect phasing happens

Please post your current MSQ.

I have tested on the bench with Sequential fuel off or on and using wasted spark setting. The outputs absolutely 100% certainly fire in the sequence A,B,C,A,B,C with the NGC6 wheel pattern on my stim. The A,B,C match up with the spark test mode.

The composite log of my simulated signal looks very close to the composite log you posted earlier.
