Setting up Paired injectors with ms3x

Post by quark2501 »

Hi Guys

A simple question? How do i setup 6 injectors on a 6 cylinder engine only using 3 injector outputs? Wasted fuel as some call it.

If the topic title is OK, you are have a MS3X. If that's the case, then why you do not want to have sequential injection? The MS3X has 8 injector outputs.

Simply because I use a breakout board and it's wired that way from the factory.

What's the firing order and how are the injectors paired from the factory?

I'm not sure if you can run 3 of the 3/X injector drivers on a 6 cylinder engine. You could use the 2 Mainboard drivers and modify the wiring slightly in the factory harness..... Also are you running the stock injectors? I ask because I believe stock are Low-Z and won't work with the 3X drivers anyhow.

1jz are high, but it runs 550 ccm 2jz injectors and a resistor pack

Don't want to mod the wiring. Will it work in batch fire when using all 6 off them in software but only using 3 irl.

If you have a missing tooth wheel but no cam sensor and are running wasted spark, select Sequential / Semisequential and you will be squirting twice per cycle on channels A, B, and C.

If you have a cam sensor and are running (or at least COULD run) COP, select S/SS as above, but lie in the req_fuel window and enter an injector size of 1100cc. Wire each pair of injectors to the two corresponding injector channels - 1-4, 2-5, 3-6. This way, each injector pair will receive two half-size signals per cycle.

I think I out-clevered myself on that one. Select S/SS, and enter that you have *3* 1100cc injectors. This will give two squirts each on channels A, B, C.
