fuel cut when trying to start

Post by Kryptoknight80 »

I was driving along and my car flashed a corrupt file error and shut down. I had it towed home and I have re flashed firmware 1.2.4 to my MS3X. I also updated my TS and loaded a new bare tune. Now the engine just turns over and the dashboard says "fuel cut". The car was running great before the corrupt...I had literally no problems. Now I cant get her to even start! I have double checked my firmware/software compatibility and the tune is basically the same at least to start the car. I am just completely lost here!

I have never logged anything and the old file was corrupted! I tried to re flash and start a new tune. Everything is set to what it was before, but now there is no spark, the injectors all click when I turn on the ignition and fuel cuts. But, it is reading rim vet all temperatures etc...

Also having an issue with firmware being compatible with software...that could be a huge part of the problem! But, I bought a pre made unit, set minimum settings, adjusted a/f and that is the extent of my MS3 experience. It has been running fine for two years.

Try changing the ECU definition if you're getting a note the settings are incompatible.

I'll need a data log of the fuel cut issue as well as the MSQ.

i.e.
File -> Project -> Project Properties -> Detect
and let TunerStudio select the correct matching "ini" file for you. If it cannot find it, you'll need to browse for the correct one on your local disk.
