Possible bug with COP Subaru 36-2-2-2

Post by jsmcortina »

I've spotted a potential typo bug in the code that could cause one cylinder firing incorrectly if you run coil-on-plug or sequential fuel. I bench tested and in my test scenario, I see spkC firing 15 degrees late.

This impacts all MS3 releases. There is no impact on MS2/Extra as it does not support the cam signal.

If you use this spark configuration, please check spark timing on all cylinders with a strobe urgently.

Hey James, would this affect the trailing spark on a rotary using that trigger pattern using the COP sequential?

It only impacts 4-cyl non-rotary engines using 36-2-2-2 in COP or sequential.

This was fixed a while ago and is available in firmware 1.3.2 (and all later versions.)
