Launch control and anti-lag

Post by MrFairlane »

What is best way to use launch control and transbrake together with turbo anti-lag?
We want generate more boost on quarter mile start but not at burnout so we need burnout limiter, launch limiter and anti-lag. Is it possible to use that new anti-lag code in same time with launch limiter enabled.

MS3 is without the expansion card.
Shaft speed is in JS4
Transbrake solenoid is not controlled by MS.
Boost control is not used.

Motor is Ford Y-Block with 2 bank port injection and ignition is controlled by MS trough Crane HI-6 and distributor. Crane has own launch limiter option what is in use now.

I'm not sure you completely understand antilag, or are confusing it with one of the other similar functions. antilag is used during overrun or idle to simulate an engine load when there is none. an auto with a transbrake should provide all the (real) engine load that you need to build whatever boost. separate burnout and launch limiters should be enough, especially if you dial in some timing retard on the launch limiter. with that said, you will probably want to move the launch limiter from the ignition box to ms.

ALS looked better with max time and coolant and stuff, but if normal launch mode with timing retard is enough, then I use that.

Thank You.
