hfm2 maf no flow voltage reading around 1v??

I'm running alpha-n right now but have a Saab mad plumbed in and hope to get the setup running on maf.
I have not started tuning yet because:
Voltage reading in tuner studio withe the sensor unplugged is around 0.2v with the sensor plugged in and the engine not running I'm getting 0.95-1.05 volts. I cleaned the sensor with flux remover with no change.

Is this OK or should I toss this maf and get another?

Are you sure you don't have an HFM5? The zero-flow voltage for that is 1V, less indicates reverse flow. Blow through it backwards and see what happens.

ill try it but it looks like an hfm2 element.

Any updates? Did it measure reverse flow?

my wife just picked up a cabriolet to play with but have to swap out the motor, so my scirocco toy got kicked out of the garage for now, I haven't messed with it too much since the scirocco is running well with the itb's on alpha-n and sd with the map connected to the plenum for boost correction and control. once I get the boost control and eae dialed in, I'll have a really good base to use for comparison switching over to maf/eae.
