Guys,
We noticed in a video of our Bonneville car that while on the rev limiter (which uses spark cut) our tach signal apparently is accounting for missing spark events? At a 7800rpm limit we get 4500ish rpm on the tach, and the shift light (driven by the Autometer tachometer) is out. Driver had the car stuck between gears, free revving, can't hear the engine roaring (remember he's bundled up like a eskimo in fire suit, helmet, restraints), but the shift light isn't on and the tach shows "4500rpm."
This is MS3X.
How would you get around this? I hate to run fuel cut without a spark cut especially as we work through transmission issues and the engine sees the limiter a lot more than we like. The combined spark & fuel cut is VERY soft and good to the engine.
thoughts?

Tacho Output during Spark Rev Limiting
Squirted: it's easier to list the ones I haven't squirted. I need to do more motorcycle engines!

That doesn't sound right.
Please post (or email) the MSQ and I'll take a look.

James, I'll email it to you, owner of car likely won't want it public. For what it's worth, we are on whatever was the "stable release" in July of 2012. I'll check on that for you.jsmcortina wrote:That doesn't sound right.
