MS3X VVT/Nitrous 1 output's

Post by Pat kelly »

Hi all, I have a quick question. I have a M52tub28 (2.8 BMW Engine), It has two Variable cams, I have the solenoids connected up, there are two wires on each solenoid. So I am assuming one is ground and the second is 12V feed ( Using a battery and connecting it up they click like an injector) from MS3X vvt pin 27 and the second I am using is pin 24 Nitrous 1,I have both grounded on the head, Using a meter there seams to be no voltage present using the test page, switching to resistance I can see a change as I go from 25% to 75% etc. Have it this picked up correctly, I assume it is not the same as a 3 wire idle valve set up, i.e. the supply is grounded thru the MS3X thru pin 9 and 6 for example.

If I want to use the cam as either on or off, I assume I would use "On/Off" in the set up page and output would be 100% for full on and 0% for full off.

thanks.
just want to be sure I am on the right track.I have included my current tune.

What is grounded at the head?

The solenoids need a 12V feed as you said and the other side connects to the Megasquirt.
