Injectors not firing

Post by phongshader »

Hi ,
The car has been running great but I put it up on blocks to swap out coil over springs and some other suspension mods and adjustments about a month ago. I finished all that up last night got the car off the stands. I started the car up last night and it ran for a few minutes the died, tried again but would not start. It would catch then die. It acts like the injectors are firing in cranking mode the stop once the engine catches. I tried firing the injectors in test mode and got nothing, but after some reading here this morning I think I had the pulse set to too short a time to hear. I'm at work right now but when I get home I'll retry the injection test mode again with a longer pulse. Can you give me any tips as to what to test or look for to see if the injectors are not firing? The ignition seems to be working. MS3/3x 1.3.0, Duratec 2.3, Suzuki itbs sequential/cops.

Any chance the TPS is pegging and putting it in flood clear mode?

Can you post a data log of what's going on along with the actual MSQ in the unit?

Thanks, I caught that when I loaded new firmware. Looks like my map sensor needs replacing

yeah i sure that will radically reduce the fuel the ecu would inject hence the non running properly.

Fortunately I had a map sensor installed for real time baro so I just switched inputs. Runs great again.
