MS3 Firmware load time

Post by Mario »

Just curious how long it takes most of you to load firmware onto your MS3.

It seems it take ~5 minutes for me using a DIY usb to serial adapter.

Is this standard?

What OS on the TS computer? With Win8 there are some settings for the USB port (latency, I think, and baud-rate) that can affect com speed. I think I load firmware in a couple of minutes, before I changed those it was 5-10 minutes.

I am on Win7 and Win8. Both are about the same load time.

Go to the device manager and change the latency to the minimum value. That will make a huge difference compared to the default.
