Misfire on slow acceleration

Post by Trump »

I have my multi TB set up with MS3X running well except for a slow acceleration issue. This is a problem I did not recognize with the single TB set up I had prior to the upgrade. It may be that the plenum muffled the noise but I do not think so. It was semi sequential but now fully sequential. The injectors are now about 100mm further upstream of the valves.

When accelerating slowly ( TPS not MPH) I get a cough back through the intakes. The engine does not seem to hesitate, it is just one or two coughs then all is OK. I tried to adjust the AE ( I am using the Acc-pump option) but reluctant to get to low to avoid any TPS noise.

Any suggestions?

I will need a data log in addition to the MSQ to be able to determine what is going on.

Sorry for delay on this. The real world caught up with me.

Attached find a log (Shadow Dash).

I have fitted a new cold air box and it makes it harder to hear the miss.

If you are accelerating slowly then you do not really need AE kicking in. It's probably the problem rather than the solution.

Yes, one would think so but the msq is set to give no extra fuel. That is my issue, why the misfire?

How's the datalog coming along? That should show what is or is not happening.

I posted one a couple of post ago.
It was a Shadow Dash one and I am not sure it will have enough detail. Do I need to take one with my lap top?
