Nissan SR20 - injector problem

Post by jsmcortina »

I've been investing the "misfire" issue mentioned in this topic: http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 31&t=50336 and can indeed confirm that something is wrong. I'm at an early stage at the moment, but it appears that in Semi-Sequential and Sequential modes, the injectors can miss a beat when "End of Squirt" timing is used.

Temporary workaround - set Sequential to use "Start of Squirt" or disable sequential.

Am I correct in thinking that applies to all triggering modes, not limited to just the Nissan SR20 CAS?

No.
However, I believe it will apply to some modes where the main wheel has the same number of teeth as the engine has cylinders.
So, it won't be having effect on 36-1, 60-2, 24/1, LS1, 4G63 Miata and many others.

I have identified what is happening, applied a fix and it looks good on the bench. I hope to put some test code out tomorrow once it has been run up on my engine.
