spark "a" dead

Post by ZOOMZOOMs »

good evening, i finished today wiring a ms3x on a ford 460 , using 60/2 trigger wheel , and ls style cop´s firing in wasted cop. it start @ first attempt but the spark "A" coil don´t work, i checked the wiring , and try another coil in this connector, nothing seems to work.... i wanna know if this could be msq or firmware associated? or if it is hardware related ... if so .. where can i find info or diagrams about the 3x board ?

When I originally did my CNP conversion I found a spark output wasn't firing a coil. In my case, when I put the backshells back on the DB37 connector, I had squashed one of the coil trigger wires between the 2 backshell halves. Once I took the backshells off the connector and made sure all wires were nicely inside the backsheels, voila.... all 8 coils fired...

May not be your problem but it doesn't hurt to rule out obscure things like that before cracking open the case and scoping output channels etc...

found the fault to be the ecu itself (test it with other ecu and same msq , and works o.k), i send it back to diy autotune, they fixed and send it, now waiting that the courrier truck bring it to me!
