I have just finished installing a Megasquirt 3 with MS3X Expansion that was pre assembled by DIYAutoTune. The problem I am having is that my laptop isn't recognizing the EMS. I have verified the EMS is getting 12 volts and is grounded with all my other grounds at the engine block. When I open Tunerstudio and try to detect the EMS, it says not found. I am using the USB cable that came with the unit. If I go under control panel to look at the com ports it shows something under other devices. It shows FT232R USB UART
I am thinking it is something not configured right with my laptop. I just bought it 2 days ago.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Chris

Re: Can't connect to MS3 EMS
there is documentation on how to troubleshoot connections, but i cant seem to find it right now.
But when i switched laptops the other day, i had to have the laptop connected to the MS, and on the internet, and go into the driver list and update the driver that you have listed. This was with windows 7

See the serial setup section in the Megasquirt-3 Setting Up manual - listed under the Manuals link above.
