VNT Turbo Control

Post by PaulS »

I'm planning on using a VNT turbocharger on my next project.

I've read elsewhere that the Garrett/Hella electronic actuator can be controlled by PWM. The recommended PWM frequency is 140Hz.

I've also read that the most recent MS3 firmware will support 150Hz, however, on the 1.3 firmware Generic PWM outputs, I only have the higher frequency options of 78Hz and 250Hz with nothing in between.

How do I access the 150Hz option?

Thanks in advance.

Doh, no 1.2.4

My mistake. I remember upgrading in the summer. Turns out it was 2013

I'll upgrade.

I've had to put this project on the shelf for now, so have not tried it yet.

I can confirm it does not work at 150hz the usable range is 134-146 just shy of the capabilities of the megasquirt. I have made a few post on the facebook groups but I haven't got any answers to if this can be altered or not. I have most of my setup installed in the car already and will be attempting to use a vacuum style actuator till I can get this sorted.
