Ms3/Ms3x No power any more :(

Ive recently wired in my ms3 computer into my car it was powering on good then just randomly it has stopped working when i wiggled a wire. The harness is still getting power but theres no signal from the ecu to the computer anymore says not connected i am confused and there is a slight electrical smell on the board but cant see any signs of damage......

Which wire did you wiggle? Regardless, take the MS out of the car and connect only +12V, ground, and the com cable to it. See if it will come alive like that as a first step.

I do repairs if it comes to that.

ok so i just tested with the jimsim and i tested the ecu from the guide and there is no 5v on cpu part theres definitely 12 going in hmmmmmmm

the power wire fell out when i moved my ecu so i re-soldered it into place there is no fuse maby i should of ran a fuse........ hope i can fix it dont want to buy another ms3

Does the 5 volts come back if you unplug the MS3 daughter card?
