Hello all,
While on the adventure to get AVECs (VVT) and AVCL (variable lift) work on a Subaru H6, we thought of using the stock STI ECU to control the VVT only. Issue is, we need RPM signal to that system. Is there a way to output the same RPM in signal to an output the other ECU can read? What would need to be done?
Thanks!
RPM out?

Re: RPM out?
You may be able to share the tach input signals.
Have you tried using the VVT control from the MS3 ?

Re: RPM out?
We have not. I guess its worth a try before attempting to share the signal. If the signal is shared, wouldn't that make it half as strong, therefore more prone to desync?

Re: RPM out?
Yes interference is a possibility, but the ECU inputs tend to be "high impedance" meaning that they don't apply a large load to the sensor.SirSpectre wrote:If the signal is shared, wouldn't that make it half as strong, therefore more prone to desync?
