EGO Control equiv "simple" PID settings?

Post by MWPau »

Greetings all,

EGO Control "simple" correction is giving me quite large oscillations of AFR, so i gather i need to move to PID control.

Does anyone know what PID settings are equivalent to the "simple" setting?
Ill use those settings as a starting point and tweak from there.

Here is an example of what im seeing:

I run stepsize of 1 and the new lambda delay and authority tables, works pretty darn good with just "simple"

Yes, now that you mention it, the EGO delay is probably the cause of this.

I have this problem with using the table though: http://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic ... 31&t=54644

Load up pre1.4 alpha 7, the delay table now goes to 11, er, 2.550 seconds(the last digit rounds up/down), which is reasonable at low MAP and RPM. (Even idle) and maybe even a post cat sensor.

There is also a fixed "response time" that I'm kinda of mixed feelings about, as the sensor response time depends on a LOT of things, but it provides a little more time I guess if needed.
The delay table (now with X10 range) should be sufficient, even on a weak motor with long tube headers.

I think ill persist with 1.3.3. I want to stay away from the alpha/betas for the moment.
Good to know its been changed though.

I think I ran release code for about 30 minutes in the last 4 years...

Only had a hiccup once on very early ms2 sequential code that was fixed in under an hour, from many time zones away.
