A/C idleup doesn't work with PWM% above 49

Post by youngfg »

Firmware version MS3 Beta 1.2.2 2013 0424 21:35

I am using the A/C idleup function, and it works fine if the PWM% is 49 or below, above 49 the a/c indicator in TS will come on, but it does not open the IAC.

Will a firmware upgrade fix this?

See attached MSQ file.

As you are on experimental beta code, I would first try the latest stable release.

I just tried this again on 1.5.1 and it still doesn't work.

It ignores anything above 50%

I didn't see that the file wasn't attached.

Here it the file, the duty cycle is set now 49% so it works with this file.

Can you also post a tune with the setting beyond 49, and a data log of what is happening?

Here are two data logs, one with the duty cycle at 49% and it works, an another with the duty cycle set at 51% and it doesn't work.

I found and fixed the issue for the next beta.

However, why do you need such a large duty added? How small is the idle valve?

I use it to speed up the engine for rev matched downshifts.
