Marelli mode VVT?

Post by Peter Florance »

Will VVT (read angle only) work in Marelli mode? The Lancia I'm working with has adjustable cam sprockets, but no vernier lines on them. I thought VVT might be handy to at least monitor where exhaust cam is as it's moved to tune.
The plan is to have them checked with degree wheel first, but thinking past that...

Not presently. Only modes specifically called out as VVT capable will allow VVT to be turned on. However, I like your thinking and will consider it.

Of course I'm guessing that the pattern needs to be supported to the point that the angle can be measured.
In my case I don't care which cam tooth it uses. But I could be over simplifying what is happening in the code.
