Not changed trigger angle/offset

Post by bifurkas »

Hi all!
MS3, TunerStudio, Jeep Wrangler 94, crank and cam sensors, full seq. Crank and cam signal is good, no sync lost, but TDC is later approximately on 100 deg. And not change by "Trigger angle/offset"! But change by "Crancking Advance".
Spark mode is "Jeep 2000"
Help me please!

You have set the trigger offset to 90 degrees away from the default value.

Yes, I set it parameter from -90 to 200 - TDC not changed. Check by strobe. When value is not zero, TDC is unstable.

Please take and post a composite log. I don't know if the crank/cam signal patterns are the same between 2000 and 1994.

James
PS. That "log" file you attached is a narrowband oxygen sensor calibration file.

I reviewed the code and it does appear that the ignition is about 120 (EDIT) degrees different from that timing diagram. I'm not sure if anyone has used the "Jeep 2000" mode with coil-on-plug before.

I'll see about adjusting it for the next pre-1.4 beta code.

Thank`s for answer, James
What is the purpose of "Trigger angle/offset"? I think it`s a software adjustment position of crank/cam sensors. Or not?
I can turn cam sensor on engine, but not badly to do it software.

It is intended to allow small adjustments to the position to compensate for manufacturing tolerances.

I tried to solve the problem with trigger offset today. But there was another problem. I changed the firing order in eng & seq stttings, shifted on one cylinder. But TDC remained motionless. I have installed various combinations the firing order in eng & seq stttings, but TDC remains in the same position. I think the problem in Jeep 2000 spark mode.
Can I use regular sensors Jeep Wr 94 with full seq and COP?

The firing is fixed in an A-B-C-D-E-F pattern. Contact James for the test code to fix this.
