Wrong map sensor used during tune...

Post by ducman82 »

so in a big DUH move..... i had tuned my car with a 3 bar map and not the Internal Map.... so it reads "boost" when i don't have any.. NA car...

my question is if i switch the MAP sensor i know the fuel table will be off. but will the cells be off uniformly ? can i say, bump up or down all the cells the same amount? or is it re tune dyno time again?

Well, if you know what 150 KPa on the old table actually was you'd be able to reassign it, should be that easy. It is all relative to the units of measure used whether correct or incorrect, you just need to translate.

You'll need to adjust the table MAP index numbers AND scale the VE table for "multiply MAP"

e.g. if old MAP was 120kPa new MAP is 102kPa (/315 * 260 for 3bar to 2.5 bar) then change all VE values in that row ( *120 /102 )

(I hope I got the maths correct there.)
