Sequential /semiseq. Timing.

Post by morrische »

Hi there

I will appreciate every input

My thoughts.

The MS3 is set up to inject fuel that the end of the injection is at 360° (check here http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/Megasqui ... Up-1.3.pdf page 77)
According to this, this will be right TDC before Intake cycle ( Normally intake valves open BEFORE top dead center right?? so you would inject fuel while the intake valve is open. I know just right away but still)

When you have it like this there is only little time for the fuel to evaporate.........

So my intake camshaft on my car opens at 0° TDC (wich would be fine in this case) and closes 60° after "lower dead center" wich should be 240°...........(to see here in this document page 92 http://www.jdmlegion.com/Assets/S13.CA1 ... Manual.pdf)

So what i would like to do is to set up Start of the Injpulse to somwhere like 10° after the Intake valve closes (which should give fuel a lot more time to evaporate/mix properly)

Where i have to set the Startpoint of the injector timing to start injection right away when the intake valve is closed

So according to the MS3 manual 0° is between comp. and power stroke +/- 360° between exhaust and intake stroke
+180 is between intake and compression and last but not least -180° between power and exhaust.......

So + 180° should be the engine at BDC with the intake valve Still open (because it closes 60° after BDC)
So we go further to 0° (according the MS3 manual). So 60°later the intake valve should close and anoter 10° later i could start Injection

So finaly if i write Start of injection at (180°-60°-10°) 110°

Can somebody confirm this or if it's wrong explain to me how to calculate it properly..................

Thanks
