Gm C3I or LS1 coiling ?

Post by B85 »

Working with a 3800 SC from a GTP that will have MS3x. It has a C3I ignition module . This will not allow a sequential firing. But I could go with 6 LS1 coils. What would be best ? Have the room for either.
Thanks,Randy

Which will be less expensive and easier for you to do? There is no functional advantage to sequential spark at the speeds that engine can operate (< 12-15K rpm?).

I have a 3800 series II S/C in my 89 cavalier and run the MS3X INJ's in Batch fire mode currently. A guy I know has the same setup running full Sequential though. I tried to get mine going but had issues with the CAM in on the MS. I resolved the issue but haven't decided to change it over. I get 23-28mpg with the setup. Running 3.4in Pulley, 180* stat, 104 plugs and some other mods. What version board y have? I am using 3.0 and had to make hardware changes to support the C3I setup.

She is a MS3x3.57c, I think . Would love to see your MSQ ! Please ??
And ask your friend if I could get a look at his MSQ ? Please .

Not finished with the install yet but close. Would like to get the MS3c worked out first. Its for my Wifes 85 Jimmy. Should be fun having the 3800SC ?

Thanks,Randy

I posted in your other thread with the MSQ. Where you from, if I might ask? Don't see a lot of MS'ers running 3800's.

Its pretty easy, it fits the trans and the under hood area. And with a little tweaking 300HP. 8)
