Understanding Idle Control
I have all my setting correct but sometimes the stepper position does not match what I have set in my idle table. If I go to test mode for the idle valve and set my run position to what I have set in my table it will go there, but as soon as I stop testing it will raise back up. What else raises the idle outside of the table?
Re: Understanding Idle Control
Are you using Advanced PID control? If you are, if your P value is low or 0, the ECU won't make any attempt to reach the target idle speed (i.e. it won't adjust the IACV duty).
Otherwise, there may be some adders for AC-on, and maybe others which don't come to mind...
Just had a look at your msq; seems you are using Basic PID control which should be okay as long as the sinsitivity is sensible (~200-400)
It looks like you're also using "Last Value". Maybe try switching to "Use Table" and configure a table to see how accurately it follows the values you enter.

Re: Understanding Idle Control
I see you are using experimental beta code. Does the problem also happen on the latest stable release?
Also, please post a data log.

This is what was on the ms3 when I got it. I just got it month-ish ago. I've never done a firmware install yet. Think I should load the released and see if that helps? Im at work ATM, I'll grab a log tonight

Re: Understanding Idle Control
it is a mod board in a PnP unit, if that matters? I have no problems being a beta tester, i'm home now going to go check it out.

As expected I cannot for the life of me re-create the issue
