Help with Additional sensor inputs.

Post by forcefed86 »

Installed an Autometer 0-100psi transducer. Set this up on the ADC12 Ego2 input. Seems to be working ok. Little confused on the settings.

I have "sensor 1" setup as linear and indicate at 0v it should read 0 and at 5v it should read 100? Is that correct? I setup a gauge and when I turn the power on the gauge is sitting at 10. If I put in -11 in the 0v box it reads 0 as it should. I'd assume this will skew the rest of the readings?

I'm using this to log/monitor exhaust back pressure on a turbo setup so I'd like it to be as accurate as possible.

Thanks...

It's this sensor if that helps. I found a few forums where members indicated it was linear 0V-0 5V=100. But didn't see anything released from autometer indicating this.

Most pressure transducers that output voltage are 0psi @0.5V and max psi (100psi in your case) @4.5V so to set it up for 0V-5V you have to extend the range at both ends. It's in the manuals......

If it’s linear on a 100psi scale you’d see .5v for every 10psi?

So -10 and 110 should be in the 0v and 5v boxes?

Thanks

Nope. 0V will be -12.5 and 5V will be 112.5 . The correct calculation method is in the MS3 Tuner Studio Guide
