I am confuse about the MS3X and Audi R8 coil (5 volt logic)

Please help me,

I using the MS3 and MS3X 357 1.3. I read the document and manual already. But still confuse the wiring setting and buffer circuit.

Frist I read the manual MS3base 1.3 page 20/194 said pin 14,15,33,34,35,36,37 for function > "0-5V logic spark output." That 's mean I can wire directly for MS3X to L2 coil. Right?

But when I read the MS3XV357_Hardware-1.3 on 92/214, Third paragraph , It said "Later than 2001 coils, PN068B 905 115 rev L and R have a low input resistance. The MS3X logic outputs outputs cannot drive these coil directly - see the MS3base/V3.57 manual for example circuits or use an external buffer designed for these coils." so when I read back the ms3base manual on page 79-81/194 told me "5.3.1.3 Logic spark outputs FET Driver method bla la la........"
Page 80/194 show me the diagram TC4427 and resistors diagram. The question is

1. I using page 79-80 for wire LS2 low resistance, Right?
2. The diagram said I must wire to the Spark channel , This is for msbase or ms3x?
3. In the Tunnerstudio, the Spark output setting, using "going High" or "going Low"?

This is audi coil not LS2 Right

The MS3X ignition drivers are 5V logic drivers. The will run LS series coils and MOST other 5V logic triggered coils without issue.

The notable exception is 01 and up VAG coils ( VAG being Volkswagen Audi Group) they require the external buffer or alternate FET logic driver circuit using TC4427s.

The coil in the picture is a VAG coil so no you can't fire it directly with the MS3X ignition driver.

In general when using the MS3X spark drivers set the output to "going high"

I checking my coil it 06E905115E but when I using the resistance meter check between Spark signal input and Signal Ground it say 394 Ohm.

I do it like below. Right?

so I try to install the coil on car. It continous spark and can not test coil in test mode.

What's happen? I drawing the wire to try and small image that not work wiring.

Change the wiring. Coil pin 3 goes to ground. Coil pin 2 goes to the TC's spark outputs. Spark output is set for LEDs Spark and the MS3X outputs are not used.

last status. I try to fix the error.

pin 2 to ground and pin 3 to tc are correct. change the polar not work.
TC4427 good condition and correct
but the problem continues...

my box are ms3 with ems and ms3x.
Sparks A B and C so good. but the sparks D E F can not control on tunerstudio.
and have the noise on the coil. The line have 5 volts.


What I config worng or need check something?

Set "Coil on plug" if you want six outputs on a 6cylinder engine.

I have the new problem.

The ignition are spark when first power on. I see the LED on board bright as the same time.

What the problem?

OK problem solve easy by using the coil power cord with the relay pump power.

That's all............
