ECU case ground

Post by 1shot »

Hello, I'm new to Megasquirt here.

I'm in the middle of designing a PNP PCB board for the MS3pro to fit inside my factory ECU case. I've noticed that the stock ECU has caps between the ECU ground pins and the ecu case ground. Are these decoupling caps? If so, what is the recommended best practice for my custom PCB? The GND pins on the factory harness bolt to a chassis ground very close to the ecu mounting location (stock configuration). I've read the preferred grounding location for the ECU is to go directly to the block, however I'd like to make this work without any harness modifications if possible. pic attached. This is for a 1G DSM.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Nick
