Please help with my AE tuning

Post by 5.3LS10 »

I was wondering if someone can look over my tune and datalog and possible help push me in the right direction. Engine is a LQ4 6.0 running MS3X. Has a LS9 camshaft and 799 heads. Idles great but having issues dialing in AE while just free revving it in neutral. It is going very rich but if I crack the throttle open and hold it it goes very lean.

Here are the msq and msl files.

Thanks!
Shane

I am looking at the PW in the datalog and it looks like the value goes from 3ms at idle to 15-20. That seems way too high. I rewatched the tech session with Scott Clark from the 2014 megameet and he mentioned free revving should look for around double the PW. I have decreased by AE table and I will try again tomorrow. I also noted Scott saying that this is assuming the VE table is totally tuned which mine is not yet. Once the clutch is setup It will be ready for some road time.

Does anyone agree that the PW is way too high?

your main map requires adjustment, i just ran it through veal, and it added approx 15% fuel...
get your main map setup 100% before attempting to tune AE

hi, i ran your log through the VE analyser in meglalog viewer and based on your AFR table it added fuel which suggests your main fuel map is lean...
take a look at the features of megalogviewer and tunerstudio, both can analyze the fuel table and make corrections, megalogviewer will do it offline and tunerstudio can do it live...

That is awesome. It seems like everyday I am being introduced to a new feature between those two programs.
