To check timing on the other cylinders you need to add two more marks to the dampener/trigger-wheel/pulley/flywheel... whatever the rotating part is that has the mark for cylinder #1. These marks should be evenly-spaced at +/-120 degrees from the existing timing mark. Or, you can move the crank 120, then 240 degrees from where the existing mark lines up with its "pointer" on the engine and make/find features on the engine block that line up with the moving mark at those two rotations. These marks do not need to be terribly accurate or permanent, you are only looking to verify the other cylinders are firing at "pretty much" the correct crank rotation.

So, rotate the engine so that the normal #1 marks line up. Then rotate the crank another 120 degrees in the normally running direction and see what marks (of whatever type you use) line up. Use those marks to check the second cylinder in your firing order (#5, as I recall). Repeat this procedure, bring the engine to the marks for #1, then rotate it (forward) 240 degrees to find the marks to use for the second cylinder for the firing order. The cylinder compliments, like 1 and 6 for you, will use the same marks.

I mentioned it in your previous thread and was ignored by you and Matt but your signal is not a type of signal that can be read correctly by the hardware. You will not be able to get a stable timing from that because the hardware is a zero-crossing detection and there is only one sharp zero-crossing pulse in the signal. All the other ones have very long zero transitions which cannot allow a stable timing.

I looked through that old thread, it wasn't just you, Jean, James also indicated this triggering scheme wouldn't work. Thanks, I will no longer waste time trying to ensure that the OP's "custom" COP drivers (or wiring harness) are firing the coils in the proper sequence!

Or change the sensor to a Hall sensor.
