buzzing noise from crank hall sensor

I just wired up my hall sensor and noticed that it's buzzing. Is this normal ?

I doubt it!!! How do you have it wired, exactly?

Yes, quite positive :
Red to 5V
black to ground
Black/white to signal.

It's like an high tension electrical sound of sorts.

I measured the voltage between signal and ground at various tooths and gaps and it seems to work.

I gotta ask... how loud is this "buzz"? When the engine is running, do you think there is really a chance you could hear or feel it over the normal engine sounds and vibrations?

No not that loud. I'm not concerned about the noise, I just not sure that it is supposed to do this.
