shift light always on.
I am using pin 9 idle function for my shift light output, I am using a single super bright led for the shift light, one side wired to 12 volts, the other leg wired to pin 9 for switched ground, but the light is on all the time. Do I need to set up a relay and move the ground from the shift light to the relay output and wire the relay coil to run off the pin 9 idle output and 12volts.

It might be that the leakage current through the output is enough to light the LED?

I guess I will just drive a relay.... I know that works
