Ls2 coils, high or low? +Canbus question

Post by Borgli1 »

Hi!
Do you guys know the right settings for LS2 coils? High or low out? I've found little on the subject and about halv says high and the rest low.

Thanks!

Also;
Can I have a canbus in that is wires to a relay so that the engine can't start unless the relay is powered?
I want a safety so that the engine cannot be started unless you have your foot on the clutch.

Depends on what ECU you have.

1.Going high. Don't go past 4 ms on dwell.
2. Wire your starter relay so one side of a coil recieves ground when clutch is depressed and the other gets +12 from the key once it's turned to 'start'.

Erm... depends on the coils.
I'm currently using the std LS2 coils, w/roundish bodies.
Make sure you set the dwell/voltage table using the GM LS2 table data.

I run 4.3ms, much less than 3.8ms I start dropping cylinders.
6ms cranking.
Always doing things the hard way, MS2 sequential w/ v1.01 mainboard, LS2 coils. 80 mile/day commuter status.
