Upgraded to MS3X from MS1E (KA24DE) *NO FIRE*

Post by cmj »

Having trouble getting the car to fire.

Rebuilt the motor over Winter.

DIY 12-1 (24-2) trigger wheel. LS1 coils, (Batch fire.. forgot to run the second trigger DOH!)

Attached is log, msq, and trigger log.

The car ran excellent on MS1E, I upgraded to play with more features, and now i'm stumped.

Any help is appreciated!

you have a rpm signal problem did you change how the main board was set up? maybe try falling edge on ignition input capture.

Jumper J1 is in the 3-4 position. JP1 is in the 1-2 position.1k Resistor across R57. Here is a log with falling edge.

falling does not seem to help did you adjust the pots on the main board like so http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/html/MS3 ... .4-69.html

Attached is a tooth log. I took the distributor out of the car and turned it at a constant speed with a drill.. The log looks exactly like it should... Right?

I think maybe I have a low battery issue?

id say the log looks pretty good, when on the drill did you get a constant rpm reading in ts or was it still dropping to 0.

The car fired right up. Had a battery issue. Thanks for all the suggestions!

If this really is a 24-2 cam trigger (and not 12-1+12-1), then you already have what you need for full sequential.
Temporarily shut down - back soon!

Our cam trigger is meant to behave as a 12-1 crank trigger and needs the second trigger input for full sequential.
