ms3 pro clt based rev limiter?

Post by fenslage »

hello , i tried to use the clt based rev limiter but it doesn seem to work..

hard rev limiter is set to 7900
soft limit hysteresis is set to 50

clt based selected

rev limit tps bypass is set to 110
rpm when in tps bypass is set to 3500

clt based rev limit is set to 7900 untill coolant reaches 105 degrees then is limited
to 3500 , but it still goes to 7900?

manipulated the coolant temp sensor to 110 degrees

it is used for racing , nice way to protect the engine from overheating..

software bug perhaps?

well the tps bypass is not coolant temp its throttle position (TPS) so you are setting the tps position to 110% which should not be possible if you have correctly set your tps sensor. 0% at closed throttle, 100% at wide open throttle. that setting has nothing to do with the temp. how did you set the coolant temp curve? for what you seem to want the rev limit at all the low temps should be at 7900 until it gets to 105 degrees and then it should be a straight line at 3500 for the rest of the table.

I have set the tps to 110 so the curve is
always followed..

From 105 degrees it should run 3500 rpm
as engine protection.

Manipulated the clt sensor to test the setting..

Now field tested and it does seem to work
with the same settings..

Thanks all
