Closed loop boost control tweaking

Post by jon volk »

Im currently running basic closed loop boost control. My boost curve is a bit lazy and under shoots target boost. I dont like blindly guessing at boost settings so what would be the best next step to hit target boost earlier and hold through the rev range. Log and map attached.

I bumped up the sensitivity and Im now at least hitting target boost. It seems a bit lazy still on the front end and drops off a bit the last 500 rpm. Im sure the high RPM is a function of a V8 with log manifolds and high priority wastegate.

Should I keep bumping the sensitivity or look at another setting. Logs/tune will be attached shortly.

Under firmware in Project Properties it says "Serial Signature:MS3 Format 0435.16"

I had a typo in my previous post. I AM now hitting target boost. It just seems lazy to get there, then falls off a bit. It makes 10psi on just the wastegate spring.

I should note that Im using a MAC valve plumbed so that 0% is putting full compressor signal to the gate, 100% would be zero pressure from compressor to gate.
