Temp on generic sensor out of range

Post by retro1850 »

I have a GM temp sensor attached to generic sensor 02 as analog in 3 to measure ambient air temp at the MAF housing.
Sensor has a 2.49k bias resistor connected between signal and +5v
Sensor 02 transformation is set to GM calibration
Sensor shows logged reading of 126.4 and does not change during a warm up test period. Not sure what units that is but all other temps on the set up are deg C.
The MAT sensor also doesn't move much during this test but it is reading approx 15C
Voltage measured with DVM at signal wire and resistor junction is 3.35v. Ambient air temperature for this reading was 13.4 deg C using infrared thermometer.
GM thermistor curve would be approx 13 deg C at this voltage, so I am assuming the temp sensor is ok.

All other temperature sensors appear to be operating correctly.

Shorten datalog of the warmup period is attached and the msq as well. Truncated the datalog when CLT reached 70C, otherwise the file was too big.

Not sure what I am doing incorrectly but there must be something.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Problem solved. :D
Sensor wire splice between MS3 and stock sensor wire was cracked beside the solder joint underneath the heat shrink.
So now we know that a crazy temperature reading may be just a broken wire.
