Noise filter question (was a 'bug' report)

Post by Doncis »

Bug in noise filter(1.4.0 firmware).60-2 crank + cam setup, was working perfect until I enable noise filter tach period rejection for safety, then starts massive sync loss in wide rpm range.I sudenly turned off all filter fields, and now all works perfect again. :)

Why do you say it's a bug? If you don't set the parameters correctly sync loss is exactly what would be expected.

Tach and cam period rejection was 0.1ms and 30%.I think is bug, because I was have couple sync loss in steady state idle conditions..my idle running very smooth.I don't have sync loss, and noise filter not necessary for me.I just wanted inform about this.

Is this a specific change in behaviour that you are seeing with pre-1.4.1 beta 1? If not, then it doesn't belong in this topic.

Did you calculate how long (in ms) each tooth is on a 60-2 wheel at idle?

Start a new topic and post MSQ and datalogs that demonstrate what you are seeing.
