K24A2 VVT control

Post by Karlou426hemi »

Hi I am currently installing an ms3x on a K24a2

using pt4 as the input for the intake cam sensor / vvt angle sensor

when using the k24a2 mode, in the VVT section, the only available VVT input is ' main cam ' and ' PT4 ' cannot be selected.
Do the ' main cam ' is automatically set as the intake cam or do I have to deactivate vvt1 output, activate vvt2 and select PT4 as the input and then run my intake cam with vvt2 ?

PT4 cannot be used as the main cam input.

Use the regular cam input.

sorry james. maybe i explained myself wrong

in k24a2 mode the main cam is the exhaust cam i guess as it is the one used for synchronization

it is wired like this

exhaust cam sensor ---> main cam input
intake cam sensor----> pt4

the engine sync perfectly when cranking as it is.
but when configuring VVT, the only available input for VVT1 is the main cam. but the main cam is the exhaust cam witch is not the one with the VVT .

thats why i taugh maybe i need to activate vvt2 to be able to select pt4 as a refence sensor for vvt.
