I am currently using a gm flex fuel sensor to measure ethanol content , but without my laptop connected to the system i dont have a way to know the real time content of the fuel. I want to bare minimum be able to illuminate a light when my content is over a desired level (e40 for my setup) , but optimally i would like to be able to economically install a dash guage that will display the ethanol content of the fuel..
I am using a Ms3 v.3.57 w ms3x.. what are my options?
Ethanol content dash display?

Re: Ethanol content dash display?
You could use a generic on/off light to drive a light, or a PWM output to run an analog gauge. Find some sort of analog electric gauge that displays 0-100 and see if you can get it to respond to PWM.

This information is already available on the CAN bus. http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/Megasqui ... adcast.pdf
Group 47. Ethanol content of fuel from Flex sensor %.
So if you have a can dash then its easy. Or you could build an Arduino gauge some of the other guys have been doing.
