ashford wrote:wait just a second here i had something misunderstood. in the stock configuration the intakes have the hall sensor(3 wire) and the exhaust have the vr, did you switch these around?

also your vvt1 and 3 look steady but vvt1 is off 30ish degrees, did you have the chains off?

just to be double sure can you confirm this
vvt1= right intake= passenger side
vvt3 l= left intake= drivers side
vvt2 =right exhaust= passenger side
vvt4= left exhaust=drivers side

Yes I switched the VR which were on the exhaust to the intake side. I was told to have both VR inputs on the same cams and both hall on the same cams. before they were mismatched.

Yes I had the chains off as I upgraded to a set of billet TSS oil pump gears but I made sure I had the chains marked and put back on correct

VVt1 which is the passenger intake (VR sensor)
VVT2 passenger exhaust (hall sensor)
VVT3 drivers intake (VR sensor)
VVT4 drivers exhaust (Hall sensor)

my bad i mixed up cam 2 and 3
if things are still acting up try out 358 for the min and 440 for the max angles on vvt1 and 3

2nd half looks great, if the first half happens alot try adding 360 to the min and max angles for vvt1 and 3, it helped my setup out when i changed to gt cams. so it would be 362 and 415 or therabouts

yeah its doing that on every start up. once the idle settles for a sec or two it drops down to the requested cam angle. I'm wondering what is causing the popping out of the exhaust though. looks like the afr jumps around a bit. maybe plugs are fouled and getting ignited from other cyl events? kinda weird

i would unplug the phasers and do a cylinder cutout test( or just unplug injectors), find the culprit and go from there. a stock cammed coyote should have a perfectly smooth idle

yeah it needs plugs anyway. so ill toss some in. My brother and I did unplug a inj and coils 1 at a time and it made no difference. kinda weird. btw I really appreciate the help man, you saved me a lot of aggravation. I owe you one
