Re: Please check my tooth log and datalog 60-2 LS3 RPM sync
I have used on an install before the 12v crank with 24x pattern with single tooth cam gear and 5v sensor with no problems
Just make sure when you wire in the 5v sensor that you install a 1k pull from the new 5v power to cam signal wire
Do you have access to a lathe? On my installs I always rig up the megasquirt and power it up and use a 36-1 wheel with a single bolt on it and run the cam and crank sensor close by hand to verify it fully syncs so I don't beat up on the starter figuring settings out

I will rewire tonight and let you know how I make out.jsmcortina wrote:The 4X gear pattern may not work with the LS1 (24X) decoder as it was designed for the 1X cam. You might get lucky, but might not.

Thanks again.

Well it was the sensor.
Earlier log attached it with log crank&cam mode with GenIII sensor. Later log attached is with genIV sensor. Signal is MUCH clearer.
Agreed?
Unfortunately I now have no RPM input... lol
Also that is not the signal I would have expected.
Here is a pic of the cam wheel. I am using "B"

That's the cam wheel I'm using with my 58x LS3. We have the same settings but my cam tooth check is earlier for some reason

The hardware document says 20*. Can you please tell me what you are using? Also can you post a log of the cam and crank signals?nathaninwa wrote:That's the cam wheel I'm using with my 58x LS3. We have the same settings but my cam tooth check is earlier for some reason
I am almost certain that my cam signal is wrong.

I'll look in a bit what my cam timing is. Mines a case of borrowed ignition settings following another members thread. I didn't read any docs on it. I think mines at 2*. However i sync up with no issues
I'm unable to get a cranking log for you. Car went to paint on Sunday and won't get it back for about 4 weeks

Ignore my comments about 24X and 1X... they are irrelevant to your 58X (60-2) install.
The 4X cam is fine once you actually get a cam signal.

I think I have some wires crossed. Disregard for now. This is just a temporary bench testing harness I slapped together but that cam signal does not look correct.
