Ms3 Gold box NEED HELP

I have the ms3 gold box for the ls platform, I have just finished installing it and I cannot get the ECU to connect to my Laptop. Any troubleshooting information would greatly appreciated!

What are you using to connect? Usb cable? Bluetooth dongle?
