Stuck at step 40 : Error loading firmware

Hi:

Made it to step 40 for my MS3. I downloaded the firmware loader (MS1-MS2 Download 2.0 ) and the latest M3 firmware (v 1.4.1 ).

When I run TunerStudioMS, it detects my board on COM5 with the baud rate of 115200. However, it says no firmware is installed.
When I run PortCheck (part of firmware download), it too finds my MS3 board on COM5 with the baud rate of 115200.

When I try to run the firmware loader with file C:/ms-3/ms3.s19 (extracted from V1.4.1 download), it runs for a bit, then gives:

S80400C0003B
QMS3 Format 0524.05P
ERROR: Reading C:/ms-3/ms3.s19 line 16828: Not a Motorola S-record.
Exception caught: 3

How do I resolve?

Don't use that obsolete loader. Use the one supplied with the firmware. This is described in the Setting Up manual and in the README.txt that comes with the firmware.

Thanks that fixed it. The Brain was stuck on one set of instructions. Are there any other hiccups that I should look for (diff from ms2 and ms3) in assembly instructions?
