Controlling 2 fans
Hey Guys, I have my fan controller set up and works great. I didnt see an option for a second fan though. I am running one fan right now without a shroud but I may switch to a shrouded dual fan set up. Can I have the fans come on and off at different time? anything else I should know about?

Re: Controlling 2 fans
You can easily run a second cooling fan with the programmable outputs

I assumed so, but I don't see how to set up controls in tuner studio. I only see the fan control but it doesnt differentiate between two fans.

Re: Controlling 2 fans
Look under advanced engine, programmable outputs. You'll us a generic output using clt temp and have the fan come on at the high temp, and give it a hysteris to turn off at the lower temp

Re: Controlling 2 fans
could you split the output used for the first fan and run that to the relay of the second fan as well so they both turn on and off at the same time?

Yes. Would only have one output temperature setting though...no Hi/lo abilityjleilich wrote:could you split the output used for the first fan and run that to the relay of the second fan as well so they both turn on and off at the same time?
Re: Controlling 2 fans
You mean they would just come on and off at the same time right? Just like if one fan was wired.hiltonlo05 wrote:Yes. Re: Controlling 2 fans
The fan output just grounds a relay, you can ground multiple relays with the same output to turn on multiple fans...however... Using programable outputs, you could have one fan come on at say 195, and the second fan come on at say 205...you would have a hi/lo so to speak...or ever better, use the F-body wiring diagram with 3 relays to run both fans in series on low (half speed for both fans) or run them parallel on high (full speed for both fans)...jleilich wrote:You mean they would just come on and off at the same time right? any chance someone has a diagram on how to wire this up?jleilich wrote:.or ever better, use the F-body wiring diagram with 3 relays to run both fans in series on low (half speed for both fans) or run them parallel on high (full speed for both fans)...

Re: Controlling 2 fans
This is the exact diagram I drew for record of my installation...it may be easier to understand

Actually ignore that first diagram, after studying it for a minute, it looks to be incorrect, it's a positive trigger and ms is a ground trigger. Use my diagram
